New + Improved Website Launch!!!

We are so absolutely thrilled to finally announce our new + improved website! We have completely done a 180 and completed our ten month process to better relay our brand. Starting with getting our studio late last Spring, changing our logo and now matching it all to our new website. We believe this new look will showcase our mantra and all the work we've done best. Hooray!

Welcome To The Party

In addition to the new website and blog relaunch today we wanted to also recognize our hard working ladies on our team too.

Many of you have already had interactions with these two ladies on our team before but with all the exciting things headed our way we feel the need to properly introduce them.....

Kaitlin has been one of our assistants over the last couple of years and is now our Event Coordinator. She'll be handling our clients day of needs, managing assistants and generally kicking butt every weekend. She loves Lilly and anything monogrammed, but dont get confused, she is as serious as a heart attack.

And our new little guilty pleasure and slight addiction is Brittany. She is our Event Manager who is now working in our studio at 3 W. Market. She is organized and confident and is going to be keeping us all on track, doing research for clients, crafting and making out studio the best it can be.

Please keep your eyes peeled for their faces in the future and welcome these lovelies to the busy year ahead. And yes, they really are this cute in real life. Crazy right?

The Land of Oz

Well I'm not off to see the wizard exactly, but I am off to Australia, otherwise know as Oz to the locals. My Aussie husbands whole family lives there and so we'll be going to see them for the next two weeks. And yes, he still has the sexy accent. We'll be headed into the dead of summer, going to the beach, seeing kagaroos, and eating shrimp on the barbie (thats not a real thing there by the way).

Packing for the opposite season can be tricky, espcially when you are pale and now brunette like moi. So naturally I've made an inspiration board so I can nail down my vibe. What do you think?

Just Plane Good

Tomorrow Christie gets to finally host the vintage airplane themed baby shower she has been designing for months. She has gone above and beyond for the decor. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail is not going to go unnoticed. Before we get the professional shots back from our good friend Tracy Timmester we thought we'd share some of the inspiration and just plane good-ness that this shower will evoke.

Elegant Fall Affair at Carnegie Institute

We love a fall wedding and this one certainly tops the list with its less than traditional metallic fall color scheme. One of our favorite venues in DC is Carnegie Institute and its fabulous architecture never disaapoints. Big thanks to some fabulous vendors for truly making this a magical evening and a stunner of an event. Occasions Caterers did an amazing job at this event and Joel was a dreamboat to work with. Holly Chapple Flowers absolutely captured the essence and colors of the day with this colorpalatte and creative bouquet. Paper Zest & Meant To Be Calligraphy worked together to create some of the most gorgeous menu cards and paper decor that I have even seen.  Enjoy this gorgeous Washington wedding that will remain a classic forever.

Washingtonian Show Recap: Kate Spade Does DC

Just in case you weren't able to come to the Washingtonian Bride & Groom Unveiled Show this past Sunday, we thought we'd share our booth design and just a sneak peak into our creative juices. We were tasked with creating a Smart, Witty, Chic and Preppy design for our booth and I think our "Kate Spade Does DC" look captures it perfectly. Big thanks to Holly Chapple for bringing out crazy ideas to life and designing an entire table made of flowers and to Lauren from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom for helping produce the sign and providing the great chairs and table. We always love using the glassware and chargers from our friend Liz at DC Rental. Lastly thanks to Rachel from Miss Merkle designs for helping us reinvent our placemat idea to match perfectly with this theme!
