Washingtonian Feature of Our Work!

We are so flattered that the Washingtonian Bride and Groom featured one of our favorite couples from this past Fall. Linde and Frank were so special and we are just so happy that they get to share their special day with even MORE people. If you haven't picked up your copy yet, definitely run out at get it! We are also so proud to be chosen as apart of the Washingtonian Bride & Groom's esteemed list of Best Of Wedding Vendors! And for the icing on the cake, highlighted as "Ones To Watch". WOW! Megan and I found out together, in a car, stuck in traffic and were just head over heels with all this news. We were screaming with excitement in true Events In The City fashion!

 Thanks to all of our followers and fans and especially our loyal clients who have allowed us to be apart of their weddings and events.

Tablescape Tuesday

Remember in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer when Yukon Cornelius sung about his obsession with silver and gold? Well we love it too! Especially paired with this blooming centerpiece, whose unique floral accents are sure to make your entire meal merry and bright.

Eleven Pipers Piping

Okay, so they don't call them "pipers" but they sure know a lot about piping, draping, designing and general baking bedazzling. Here are some the best dressed cakes we've witnessed from one of our favorite cake artists, Lara Stuckey of Fluffy Thoughts in McLean. She blows us away and we have never been disappointed when her designs arrive at our events.

Grab your morning coffee and wish you could stick a fork through the screen while you look at these cakes.

Ten Lords A Leaping

Perhaps you "danced around" the topic for a while, but here's to the men in our lives who finally took the plunge and proposed. LEAPing head first into spending the rest of your lives with the one who RULES your world.

Cheers to this groom-to-be who was so thoughtful and planned the proposal with a fabulous photographer, Lisa Boggs, on hand to capture this once in a lifetime moment. Im gonna guess that this little lady is in for a lifetime of happiness starting with this....right....here.....

Seven Swans a Swimming

Who doesn't remember the over the top wedding planner Franck Eggelhoffer from Father of the Bride? As the family wakes up to snow on the wedding day, Franck's swans keep warm in the bathtub, and the a grand idea of having them greet guests is foiled when bad weather rolls in.

We adore a fun and crazy plan like this and have only dealt with a bride-a-swimming in a dress, guess she could of passed for a beautiful swan.
