So after the first of the year I received a high energy call from one of my best friends from college. Once the giggles and cute catch up had lapsed a question was asked. " So Meg, Michael and I have a crazy idea..." I of course tentatively responded with " and..." . Tasha quickly jumped in with " We want to throw a Surprise Wedding this May!" I was immediately IN! Hosting a surprise wedding doesn't come with out its challenges, but the pay off of having a small private ceremony and one incredible party that would do more then just give guests something to remember, rather something that they will never forget was just what they were looking for!
My dear freinds said their vows under a vintage door frame with mason jar light fixtures crafted by Michael the groom himself! They later gifted me this beautiful structure and I can't wait to use it again!
The Set Up of the Shinannigans!
The chosen venue was the stunning Blue Water Haven Bed and Breakfast in the charming Moon, Virgina.
After guests were greeted and surprised not to see the guests of honor for the " bridal shower" that they planned on attending. A home video was presented that showed the couple marry just a few short hours prior to their arrival. At the highest point of the reveal Michael and Tasha were announced into the tent to share their first dance as a married couple with all of their friends and family. It was a total goose bump moment!
The evening was filled with a variety of DIY masterpieces, look at this amazing beer boat!
The magnificent entry way all lit up!
A final photo at the end of a beautiful day with the very happy Mr. and Mrs. Hurst.
Thank you both for letting me be a very small part in a larger then life idea!
