Oh man....don't get too jealous but we spent yesterday doing two of our favorite things....drinking wine and antiquing. It was a super fun day with an all star cast in attendance, Liz Waylan from DC Rental, Joanna Fletcher Abizaid from Cline Rose Designs and of course Meg and I (sans babies at the same time, weird!).
We started out in downtown Leesburg with lunch and more importantly lots-o-wine at The Wine Kitchen. If you've never been to this gem on King Street you are missing out. It is packed day and night and they aim to please (admittedly they don't need to try to hard with these wine lovers though). Their atmosphere, creative cuisine and artfully picked wine list is second to none in our book. Oh and you can't beat the witty wine review cards that come out with your order.
Then we headed to On A Whimin Lucketts, VA for a browse around and of course we all picked up a few things. Liz even scored a drool worthy white crystal candleabra from Holly Chapple's store. (ricky)
(Lovin' the saying down here on the right, 'Your husband called...he said to buy anything you want")
The next stop was The Old Lucketts Store. Some of our purchases are for clients engagement shoots, placecard tables and general styling items to accent our events.
(eat your heart out Anthroplogie....j/k, we still love you)
Great pieces here we bought for an upcoming engagement shoot and Virginia themed wedding!
I also bought a few special treasures seen here for the sideboard bar I am accessorizing in my house....I have everything ready for it including cool bar equipment, a tray, a great antique poster and my granmothers china. Oh, I should mention I am just missing the bar.
Guess I'll need another trip to these shops ,huh?
