Pantone, the globes leading authority on color trends for over five decades, puts out their semi annual color choices for fashion and home to coincide with New York Fashion week which is happening as we type. These selections each year filter down through the ranks of fashion designers, home decorators, paint colors and then down to the masses for all other things fabulous. Consider yourself "in the know" with this on trend palatte. We've taken the liberty of creating a glipse into the start of a theme board for your event using each of the Spring 2011 choices!

HONEYSUCKLE: THIS IS THE COLOR OF 2011

Honeysuckle is bright, fun and sexy color. This tone is for a girly girl that wants to use pink but doesn't want to sound like Julia Roberts " Blush & Bashful" as seen on the chick flick Steel Magnolias. Pairing a classic pattern with bold touches gives our bride a chance to play off of her vintage and modern feel. We took that inspiration and paired it with a unique centerpiece. The monogrammed mug can be seen everywhere! The script tips its hat to the movement of the linen while carrying the perfect pops in any color of your choice! Don't feel that just because you are using Honeysuckle pink as your wedding color it has to be the color of your flowers. I prefer to make your color pop by using complimenting colors at the center of your table. I wonder what Weezer would say about this one?!
On an official note, even the Pantone website mentions wedding attire in this color, "Wedding Apparel A flattering hue for wedding attendant apparel and accessories, Honeysuckle is now one of the nearly 200 PANTONE WEDDING Colors available from Dessy, a leading manufacturer of bridesmaid, social-occasion and flower-girl dresses. PANTONE WEDDING exclusively from Dessy provides a collection of color tools to make it easy for brides to achieve perfectly color-coordinated weddings – from inspiration to “I do.” See www.dessy.com for more information.
